Snaptober Day 14. Prompt: Beach Reads
I had a hard time figuring out what to do with this one. Then my friend Bri reminded me that I have a LOT of mermaid photos! And honestly, what better fits a beach read than a mermaid?
Even though we're in the Arizona desert, we have some pretty magical places to bring these fantasy creatures to life. Both of these photoshoots took place along the Salt River, where we got to create mermaid portraits surrounded by the natural beauty of Arizona.

The first set of photos was taken at Water Usery, featuring @bananacakecosplay in a mermaid look designed by @cakestitchstudio. I love how cosplay and fantasy photography let us bring characters and creatures from our imaginations into the real world!
The second set was photographed at Phon D. Sutton, featuring @bubbles.blossoms.az. It's always fun exploring different locations and creative ideas to see how we can bring a little fantasy into the Arizona landscape.
Both sessions are a reminder that you don't need to live near the ocean to create magical mermaid photography. Sometimes, all you need is a little creativity and the right location!
